Live Groups Early Preview

How to Create Your First Live Group in Live.τ (Early Preview)

Live Groups allow you to track multiple athletes on a single map in real-time. It’s the perfect tool for team workouts, relays, or keeping an eye on friends during for example a trail race.

This feature is currently in Early Preview. Setting up your first group is simple, and you don't even need to download the beta version of the app to get started—the core setup can be done entirely through the web interface.

Step 1: Account Setup

Before creating a group, make sure your profile is ready to go:

  • Open the Live.τ app and connect your Suunto™ account.
  • Go to your web profile.
  • Confirm your email address in the profile settings (we only use this for basic verification; you won't receive any spam).
  • Once you verified your email address, you can see the Groups section in the profile.

Step 2: Create a Group

  • In your web profile, navigate to the Groups section.
  • Click Create Group and give it a short, simple name.

Step 3: Add Members

  • There are two ways to build your team:
    • A: (Manual via Web): You can manually add your partners directly through the web interface by entering their usernames.
    • B: (Invite Link): Currently available in 1.0.14(11) version only. Generate an invite link in the app and send it to your friends via any messenger, or let them scan the QR code from your profile.

Step 4: Share Your Link with Spectators

  • Once your group is created and the members are added, you are ready to broadcast. Your public link for spectators and support crews is generated automatically: live.athletica.one/live/+your-group-name

Share this link with friends and family so they can follow your progress, see everyone's position on the map, and track the live time gaps between participants.
